The Post Falls Police Department is teaming up with the Office of Highway Safety in an Impaired Driving Enforcement emphasis.

Animal Safety

Animal Safety is staffed by two Animal Safety Officers and one Shelter Manager. The Animal Safety Officers work out of the Police Department. The Shelter Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the animal shelter, located at 805 Public Works Way Post Falls.

Alcohol Beverage Licenses and Catering Permits

Effective January 20th, 2010, the Police Department will be responsible for the issuance of alcohol beverage licenses. In the past, the City Clerk was responsible for this duty. This task will now become the responsibility of the Police Department.

Fraud Suspect

K-9 Naming Contest Winner Announced

The Post Falls Police Department is pleased to announce the winner of our K-9 Naming Contest. Amanda Howard, 5^th grader at Ponderosa Elementary School, submitted the name “Koda”. Amanda's entry was chosen from more than 350 entries submitted by area school children by a panel of seven judges.

Impaired and Aggressive Driving Emphasis Patrol

The Post Falls Police Department recently took part in a traffic emphasis that was sponsored by the Office of Highway Safety. The emphasis took place December 18th – January 3^rd and concentrated on Impaired and Aggressive driving.

Runaway - Holly Brown - Located

POST FALLS, IDAHO – Shortly before 9:00AM on 12/21/09, the Post Falls Police Department located endangered runaway Holly Ann Brown (15 years of age). She had been missing since 11/27/09.

Arrest Made in Graffiti Case

Today, the Post Falls Police Department Investigations Division brought closure to a ten

month investigation into a series of graffiti crimes that have plagued the downtown area

of Post Falls.

Suspect Sought in Hit and Run Pedestrian Accident

On December 5th,2009, at approximately 6:50 p.m. the Post Falls Police Department responded to the 1500 block of East Seltice Way near Arby’s Restaurant in Post Falls for a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian.

Graffiti Continues in Post Falls

The Post Falls Police Department continues to investigate an ongoing issue with graffiti vandals. So far this year, we have received approximately 20 reports of graffiti with the logos of “GW”, “GREAT WHITE” and “D- LINE”. The vandalism totals are estimated at $4,000 in damage to various City buildings and local businesses.
