Communications Director Charlene Holbrook

The Communications Division is the 911 center of the Police Department and is supervised by the Communicaitons Director. This division consists of two shift supervisors, eleven communications officers and two records clerks. This division is responsible for all 911 and business calls that the Post Falls and Rathdrum Police Department receives.

Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS)

The VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service) Program began in 2003 with five volunteers. As of March 2012, there are 24 active volunteers who are an invaluable and indispensable resource and asset. VIPS have backgrounds in such varied fields as real estate, the medical field, telemetry, electrical contracting and engineering, machinist, budget and finance, computer technology and education.

This video provides important details regarding officer-involved shootings and the process used to investigate them. The process that is explained is from Lane County in Oregon, however, the process used in the Idaho, Region One Officer Involved Critical Incident Investigations Team is similar.

Who can obtain a copy of a police report?

To obtain a copy of an unredacted traffic accident report, you must be listed as the driver, passenger, or an authorized representative of the people listed in the report or someone filing a claim.
To obtain a copy of a property or person crime report, you must provide a case number or other information to assist in identifying the incident. The report may be released if it is not under investigation or restricted. Click on the "read more" link below for additional information.
